 Dear friends and colleagues,

I invite you to read my publications for the month of February. Some of these articles are published in English, some in Hebrew, but all of them are biographical sketches about the lives and activities of famous Jews, scientists and composers. 

 

1. The first essay deals with the French composer Fromental Halévy. It is an excerpt from my new book in Hebrew, “Jewish Intellectuals, Creators and Destroyers, in the Face of the ‘Jewish Question,’” which has been accepted for publication by the Jerusalem-based Carmel Press.

3. This article describes the activity and fate of the German statistician Emil Julius Gumbel.
