by Ronn Torossian The great Zionist leader Ze’ev Jabotinsky once said: “It is not the antisemitism of men; it is, above all, the antisemitism of things, the inherent xenophobia of the body social or the body economic under which we suffer.” This “antisemitism of things” which Jabotinsky spoke of today includes nations and media. The post October 7th world PR doesn’t matter. We cannot win and we must not try to. What matters is what we do, not what they say, and we must worry about Jewish lives and sensibilities not about what enemies think. Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar rightfully announced the closure of Israel’s embassy in Ireland noting, “The actions and anti-Semitic rhetoric used by Ireland against Israel are rooted in the delegitimization and demonization of the Jewish state, along with double standards. Ireland has crossed every red line in its relations with Israel.” Mainstream media is quoting terrorist rapist baby killers. But how many of these media outlets support these terrorist baby killers? How many of them are openly hostile? As the research notes, “This overwhelming reliance on Hamas-controlled data has created a narrative that disproportionately portrays Israel as targeting civilians.” It leads directly to hating Israel and Jews. As Jabotinsky noted in 1911, “Instead of excessive apology and instead of turning our backs to the accusers – as there is nothing to apologize for, and nobody to apologize to – it is long overdue to respond to all current and future accusations, reproaches, suspicions, slanders and denunciations by simply folding our arms and loudly, clearly, coldly and calmly answer: ’Go to Hell!’ (There are two other words that Jews could use, but my mother taught me well.) Happy Hanukkah! Hanukkah symbolizes the victory of Jewish people over occupiers of our land. Israel must remove the inhumane enemies from the Jewish land and re-unite Eretz-Israel. Zionism is the Jewish National Independence Movement Please, Donate and Support SHAMRAK Report Food for Thought: by Steven Shamrak After the “Yom Kippur” war in 1973, the Assad regime was in charge of security of the buffer zone between Israel and Syria with mixed results. Now, as Islamist groups are taking control of Syria, it is imperative that Israel secure its border with Syria to protect its citizens from any attacks by terrorists or by a new regime in Syria. Now, the first Anti-Semite of the world, the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, is criticising Israel for preventing Islamist terrorists from taking control over weapons left by Assad regime in Syria. He cares about “Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity," but not the security of the Jewish state! Israel not Fooled by New Syria Leaders Israel’s deputy foreign minister said Syria’s new leaders are “wolves in clothes of sheep,” who are trying to persuade the world they are not radical Islamists. “We’re not fooled by many of the conversations and interviews of those rebel groups who are, in fact, terrorist groups,” Sharren Haskel said. She said Israel won’t make the same mistake it made with Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group that indicated support for coexistence before launching the deadly Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attacks that triggered the war in Gaza. Is the Pope anti-Israel Biased or one of 'THEM'? Israel criticized Pope Francis, accusing him of bias and "double standards" after he condemned the bombing of children in Gaza. "The Pope's remarks are particularly disappointing as they are disconnected from the true and factual context of Israel's fight against jihadist terrorism - a multi-front war that was forced upon it starting on October 7. Enough with the double standards and the singling out of the Jewish state and its people." Israel's Foreign Ministry said. "Cruelty is terrorists hiding behind children while trying to murder Israeli children; cruelty is holding 100 hostages for 442 days, including a baby and children, by terrorists and abusing them. Unfortunately, the Pope has chosen to ignore all of this". (Pope Francis does not care about the “cruelty” of Egypt, which in violation of international law and agreement it has signed, deliberately does not let civilians, children and women of Gaza, who are used as a human shield by Hamas, to leave the war zone of the tiny enclave of Gaza.) Turkey is Ready to Expand Its Borders Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that it is his country's destiny to expand its borders, particularly into Syria. According to him, "Just as a person cannot escape his destiny, Turkey and the Turkish nation cannot escape or hide from their destiny. As a nation, we have to see the mission that history has assigned to us and act accordingly. As a nation, we have to see the mission that history has assigned to us and act accordingly." (Thank you, President Erdoğan, for confirming and reminding the world that it is also the destiny and the rights of Jewish people to reunite Eretz-Israel.) Sweden announced on Friday that it will no longer fund the UN agency for Palestinian refugees and their descendants, UNRWA. Stockholm will instead bolster its humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip via other channels. Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli hailed Sweden’s decision, saying it was “courageous and critical,” and that UNRWA “has lost its legitimacy to exist” due to involvement in terror activities by staff members. Yemen Ablaze After Israeli Retaliation In a unique coincidence, IAF fighter jets were already heading to Yemen when the Houthis launched a surface-to-surface ballistic missile at central Israel - 14 warplanes plus refuelers and spy planes were in the skies and heading for Yemen. At least nine people were killed. “The IDF conducted precise strikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen, including ports and energy infrastructure in Sana’a, which the Houthis have been using in ways that effectively contributed to their military action,” IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said. The Houthis have fired more than 200 surface-to-surface (ballistic) missiles and another 170 UAVs at the Jewish State since the start of the October 7, 2023 war. (The US forces struck a Houthi command and control facility in Yemen in response to ongoing attacks on commercial and military vessels transiting the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.) Hamas Called for 'Mobilization' to Repel the PA Hamas called on “all movements, factions, tribal gatherings, and human rights organizations to mobilize massively” to repel the ongoing operation carried out by PA security forces in Jenin, after the PA began attacking on terror groups in Jenin, particularly Palestinian Islamic Jihad gunmen. Now, Hamas is openly calling for more chaos in the West Bank Judea and Samaria). Iranian is backing Hamas and the PIJ, and has sought to smuggle weapons and munitions to the West Bank. (If not for the existence of Israel, they would 'genocide' each other a long time ago. There is no such thing as Palestinians!) Quotes of the Week: “Here at the United Nations – the organization founded to prevent atrocities – every effort is being made to distort the facts and the truth. The UN is actively attempting to cause mass amnesia – to make the world forget the heinous crimes that Hamas committed. The Palestinian Authority is an entity that pays and supports terrorists. It has no control over the territory it claims to govern, such as Gaza. And it does not meet the required criteria for Statehood. Supporting a unilateral Palestinian terror state will only ensure more bloodshed and many more October 7th atrocities!” - Gilad Erdan, Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations - Many members of the "Ugly Nazi" do the same. They are portraying enemies of Israel as victims and vilifying the Jewish state directly, or/and using their media outlets to do so. Inaction of the UNSC is Suffocating by Vered Weiss Michael Levy, brother of hostage Or Levy, made an urgent appeal to the UN Security Council (UNSC) while criticizing it for its inaction since October 7, 2023: “Your inaction is suffocating. For every day this council fails to act, the message to the world is clear: Some lives are worth saving, and others are not. He expressed hope that the incoming Trump administration would secure the release of the hostages: “We place our deepest hopes and faith that you (Donald Trump) will bring this tragedy to an end." “Hamas’ actions are not just blatant violations of international law; they are an assault on humanity itself,” Michael added. “Holding civilians hostage – men, women, and children – is a violation of the principles that this very council was created to protect, and yet, your silence is deafening.” Dogs of the 'Ugly Nazi' still Barking The United Nations passed nearly three times as many resolutions condemning Israel this year as it did resolutions condemning all other countries on earth. The UN General Assembly rebuked Israel on Thursday in three separate resolutions, concluding the world body’s 2024 activity with a total of 17 resolutions that single out the Jewish state, compared to a total of 6 regarding the rest of the world combined.
