Dear friends and colleagues,
I invite you to read my articles published in April.
1. The burden and delight of carrying the name ‘Rabinovich’. San Diego Jewish World. April 6, 2026.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/
In my opinion, it’s perfectly appropriate to read humorous stories even during wartime.
2.. Shiite Islam practices taqiyya (deception) when dealing with non-believers. San Diego Jewish World. April 13, 2026.
In this article, I share my views on why negotiations between the U.S. and Iran are pointless and how little Americans know about the people with whom they want to make a deal.
3..
על קלוד ויז'ה. עיתון 77, 447, עמוד 46, 16 באפריל, 2026.

I have already published this story about a French poet who lived in Israel for many years in French and English. I am now pleased to publish it in Hebrew. Since the story is not yet available on the website, I am attaching a Word version of it.
4. Jewish biography: Julian Tuwim, Polish poet. San Diego Jewish World. April 20, 2026.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/
As a child, I read many wonderful, cheerful poems by this Polish children’s poet. But when I wrote an essay about him, I learned what a sad life he had lived.
5. Jewish biography: Walter Benjamin, Marxist philosopher. San Diego Jewish World. April 27, 2026.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/
The editor of this journal chose an unfortunate title for this essay. Walter Benjamin was not only a philosopher, but also an outstanding cultural theorist and literary critic. His tragic end could have been prevented. The delay amounted to a few hours.
Shabbat shalom,
Alex.
