It is the second time since December that rockets were fired into Israel from Lebanon. Hezbollah began launching rockets, drones and missiles into Israel the day after Hamas's 7 October 2023 attack. The fresh violence has sparked concern about whether the fragile ceasefire could hold. Hamas Recruited Terrorists during the Ceasefire Hamas has recruited about 20,000 terrorists since the beginning of the war and that in the last two months since the ceasefire, thousands of additional terrorists have been recruited. The IDF has recently identified a renewed preparation of terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip for the resumption of fighting. This is reflected in the recruitment of thousands of new terrorists, distribution of weapons, establishment of positions, and rehabilitation of command structures. The IDF Entered Northern Strip The ceasefire is over! This time, Israel didn’t wait - IDF tanks and other forces began attacking targets throughout Gaza in a surprise attack on Hamas. The IDF forces have initiated ground operations along the coastal axis in the Beit Lahia area of the northern Gaza Strip. During the operation, the Air Force struck around 40 targets, including armed terrorists, military infrastructure, and weapons that posed a direct threat to both the forces and the State of Israel. “This follows Hamas’s repeated refusal to release our hostages, as well as its rejection of all of the proposals it has received from US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and from the mediators,” Netanyahu said. Zionism is the Jewish National Independence Movement Support SHAMRAK report Food for Thought: by Steven Shamrak Over 70% of Gazans (some 1.8 million) are ‘professional’ refugees, maintained by UNRWA since 1949 to delegitimize the only Jewish state. Isn’t it time to find a permanent residence for them, as it has been done for hundreds of millions of real refugees under supervision of UNHCR? There are 57 Muslim countries, including 22 Arab states. They could welcome and provide a secure future for their ‘brothers and sisters’. In addition, there are so many countries around the world who care so 'deeply’ about fake Palestinians. Surely, they could also take some of them! Why don't they? Because: 1) the Arab states have been using the fake Palestinians as pawns in a political game against Israel; 2) they don't really care much about the ‘Palestinians’; 3) they know that ‘Palestinians’ would screw up their countries. Some of them have already experienced this ‘privilege'. Turkey Building Military Base in Aleppo The Turkish Army has begun to build a military base in the Menagh Air Base in the northern Aleppo countryside. The airport was previously under Russia’s control. Turkey has long had eyes on a gradual annexation of northern Syrian territory. A Turkish military presence in Syrian territory could present a real threat to the State of Israel. On July 28, 2024, Erdoğan threatened to invade the State of Israel during a conference of his Justice and Development (AK) party. (Why is Turkey still a NATO member?) The US has asked Israel not to strike Houthi targets in Yemen. "Leave it to us" was the US request. Israeli officials are holding discussions on whether to respond to the recent missiles launched from Yemen, but the assumption is that, at this point, Israel will accept the US request. (Israel can count on Trump to keep attacking the Houthis.) More than half of Gaza's residents would consider leaving the Gaza Strip if given the chance. The poll found that 39 percent said they would stay in Gaza and had no plans to leave. Another 38 percent said they would leave temporarily, but return in the future. An additional 14 percent said they would leave permanently, a significant number considering the fear of admitting plans to leave. Lebanon has to Eliminate Hezbollah The Trump administration has been delivering strong messages to the Lebanese government, regarding the security situation in southern Lebanon. The message included “a direct warning that Trump may permit large-scale Israeli military operations in Lebanon if the required outcomes are not met.” It is claimed that President Donald Trump had given the Lebanese government a one-month ultimatum to deploy its army and disarm militias, primarily Hezbollah, as well as Palestinian factions in refugee camps across Lebanon. Alongside these demands, the US approved $95 million in military aid to Lebanon. Egypt is willing to take 500,000 Gazans After Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi and King Abdullah of Jordan rejected Trump’s request that they absorb 2 million Gazans, Sisi has said he is willing to temporarily absorb half a million Gazans. ('Temporary' will be permanent.) Azerbaijan becoming Ally of Israel Azerbaijan, a Shi’ite Muslim-majority country, has maintained warm and steadily growing relations with Israel, fostering cooperation in energy, trade, and security. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said, “The partnership between Israel and Azerbaijan serves as a unique model of cooperation between a Jewish state and a Muslim-majority country." Israel is committed to defeating the Hamas terror group everywhere, including in Judea and Samaria. “In Gaza, we launched a surprising and powerful operation, with the return of all the hostages as a top priority to which we are committed in every action,” said IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir. “When we talk about defeating Hamas, it means defeating Hamas everywhere, including here in Judea and Samaria. Continue the ongoing counterterrorism operations alongside robust defense." Moving on with 'Relocation' from Gaza The Security Cabinet approved the proposal of Defense Minister Israel Katz for the establishment of a voluntary relocation administration for Gaza residents, who express their interest in moving to a third country. "We are using all means to implement US President Donald Trump’s plan and we will allow every resident of Gaza who wishes to voluntarily move to a third country to do so," Katz said. Many Gazans have expressed eagerness to leave, as many feel they are getting their lives back and a chance at a different future for their children. Seventy Gazans departed the coastal enclave, relocating to Europe in what appears to be the first instance of emigration from the Strip under the Trump plan. Two charter flights, one operated by the Romanian air force and the second by the Italian air force, departed from Ramon International Airport in southern Israel. (Arab states, all 22 of them, would be a better and more logical destination.) The UNIFIL was explicitly tasked with assisting the Lebanese army in enforcing resolution 1701, to prevent the rearmament of Hezbollah and the resumption of hostilities in southern Lebanon. Multiple documented incidents, including video evidence, confirm that UNIFIL personnel acted in ways that effectively aided Hezbollah rather than enforcing the ceasefire agreement. 'Mad Dog' of Turkey is Barking Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan blasted Israel and described it as a "terror state" after it launched surprise strikes on terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip. "The Zionist regime has once again shown that it is a terror state that feeds on the blood, lives, and tears of the innocent with its brutal attacks on Gaza last night," Erdogan said at a Ramadan fast-breaking dinner. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said "This is just the beginning. We will continue to fight to achieve the goals of the war and the promise that Gaza will not pose a threat to Israel." (There are no innocents in Gaza. Gazans elected Hamas rulers, celebrated and participated in Oct 7 terror attack! It is surprising that the attack was not launched sooner.) The US Creating Task Force October 7 The United States Department of Justice announced the leadership and membership of a Joint Task Force October 7 (JTF 10-7). The focus will be on targeting, charging, and securing for prosecution in the United States the direct perpetrators of the October 7th attack - the terrorists on the ground that day who murdered and kidnapped innocent civilians. The task force will also assume responsibility for the pending charges against Hamas leadership relating to the October 7th attack and other acts of terrorism. The US pledges to prosecute Hamas and combat antisemitism globally with new task force. Iran Responsible for Houthis Piracy The US President Donald Trump announced that from now on, every shot fired by the Houthi rebels in Yemen will be considered a shot fired by Iran. "Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from, and are created by, Iran. Any further attack or retaliation by the 'Houthis' will be met with great force, and there is no guarantee that that force will stop there," Trump wrote. Quotes of the Week: "I want them (Israel) to destroy every element of Hamas that they can get their hands on. These people are vicious animals. Hamas should stop hiding behind civilians. Hamas is 100% to blame." - US Senator Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State. The UN is ‘Ugly Nazi’ A United Nations staffer, who works with the United Nations Mine Action Service, was found to have two prominent neo-Nazi tattoos. He was injured by a booby trap in Gaza. Initially was treated in a Gaza hospital; and was later transferred to Israel for further treatment. As usual, the UN has blamed Israel for his injury, though the IDF was not operating in the area under question at the time. The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres continues his criticism of Israel, after it launched strikes on Hamas targets in Gaza: “I am outraged by the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza. I strongly appeal for the ceasefire to be respected, for unimpeded humanitarian assistance to be re-established, and for the remaining hostages to be released unconditionally.” Guterres has regularly been critical of Israel since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Several weeks after the massacre, the UN Secretary-General said that the Hamas’ attack on Israel “did not happen in a vacuum” and appeared to blame Israel for the attack. (He always demands for support of terrorists in Gaza, and does not care about Jewish hostages.) UNRWA vs. UNHCR – The Shocking Numbers! Both UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) and the UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees) are mandated by the UN to aid refugees, but there are some significant differences between how these two organizations spend their money, and thus, how successful and efficient they are at using that money to end the refugee crisis... If one defines success as resolving the refugee’s problems, then UNRWA can only be defined as a complete failure. UNRWA does not try or want to try to resettle the refugees, nor help the refugees move forward with their lives in a new host country, where some are already 3rd and 4th generation UN welfare recipients. UNRWA maintains the refugee definition, even for those living in refugee camps within the Palestinian Authority. UNRWA has 4X more staff members than UNHCR, while UNRWA deals with 6X fewer refugees. UNRWA spends twice as much per refugee each year than UNHCR does – and has never resettled a single refugee. UNHCR: Refugees can be resettled in any third country, with the goal to help them get on with their lives. Children of refugees are not considered refugees. UNRWA: Tends to 5.9 million refugees. UNHCR: Tends to 37.4 million refugees. This includes 31.6 million refugees and people in a refugee-like situation and 5.8 million other people in need of international protection. UNRWA: $1 billion USD; Number of Countries: 5; Staff: over 30,000 (13,000 in Gaza). UNHCR: $3.32 billion USD; Number of Countries: 123; Staff: approximately 19,000. UNRWA ‘Educators’ Linked to Terror More than 10% of principals and senior education staff employed by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), including the Gaza Strip, are members of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Many continued to draw a regular salary after Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023 massacre. Hateful material taught in each UNRWA school, under two of which terror tunnels, were discovered by Israeli forces. UNRWA employees actively participated in the Hamas atrocities in southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, and the agency has 450 “military operatives” belonging to Hamas and other terrorist groups on its payroll.
