Dear Presidential Candidate,
For 68 years since the rebirth of Israel the Arab countries surrounding her have wanted to destroy her. Israel has won every war except for one and that battle is the public relations war - Hasbara.
This ongoing battle continues. Countries that couldn’t defeat her with suicide bombings or rockets are now shredding her with lies and accusations.
We can defeat Israel’s enemies by sharing the truth. There are accusations of Israel being an apartheid State but the truth is that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East where people do have freedom and all can worship freely.
There have been calls for boycotts. If Israel is really boycotted her enemies would have to relinquish all of the medical, technical, agricultural and spiritual knowledge and inventions that are unparalleled in the Arab world. These inventions offer solutions to almost impossible situations.
In the United States we say the pledge of allegiance to “one nation under God, indivisible”. If our large nation is indivisible, why should we try to force little Israel to divide itself?
We should be aware that the State of Israel is the only country in the world not allowed to select its own capital, which is Jerusalem. The Jerusalem Embassy Act, introduced by Senator Bob Do le, calls for moving the United States’ Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and was passed overwhelmingly by the House and the Senate in 1995. Every President since then has deferred enactment of that law.
Support Israel by moving the United States’ Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
