My publications in September and October
е
Dear friends and colleagues,
I am honored to introduce you to my publications in September and October.
1. The Non-Jewish Jew as Defined by Isaac Deutscher. San Diego Jewish World, September 9, 2024.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/ 2024/09/09/the-non-jewish-jew- as-defined-by-isaac-deutscher/
My first hero is a Polish-British publicist, a biographer of Stalin and Trotsky. His classification of Jews has been around for 80 years and I think it is interesting.
2. Jewish Biography: Arthur Schnitzler, the Great Diagnostician. San Diego Jewish World, September 16, 2024.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/ 2024/09/16/jewish-biography- arthur-schnitzler-the-great- diagnostician/
My second hero is an Austrian writer and physician, a friend of Freud and Herzl.
3. Jewish Biography: Yakov Sverdlov, Who Might Have Ruled Instead of Stalin, San Diego Jewish World, September 23, 2024.

My third hero is a man who, by a ridiculous coincidence, did not become the ruler of Soviet Russia instead of Stalin. He was no less cruel a man than Stalin. Because he was Jewish, it is possible that the Jewish people benefited that one of his sons did not become one of the bloodiest tyrants in history.
4. Schönbrunn by Leonid Solomonovich Pervomaysky, Published in Issue #37, Translated from Ukrainian by Alex Gordon. Jewish Fiction (Canada).
https://jewishfiction.com/ story/schonbrunn/
I translated this story from Ukrainian into English. This is the first translation of the works of this wonderful Ukrainian poet and writer of Jewish origin into English. I hope that there will be other translations. I am glad that this Canadian magazine has published my third translation: the first was from French, the second from Russian, and the third from Ukrainian.
5. Jewish Biography: Máté Zalka, Commander in Two Civil Wars. San Diego Jewish World, September 30, 2024.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/ 2024/09/30/jewish-biography- mate-zalka-commander-in-two- civil-wars/
This hero, writer and general, became the hero of three nations, Hungarian, Soviet and Spanish. But he did not become the hero of the nation in whose bosom he was born, the Jewish people.
6. October 7 Opened the Floodgates to Antisemitism from the Left, Becoming Again the 'Socialism of Fools'. American Thinker, October 7, 2024.
https://www.americanthinker. com/articles/2024/10/october_ 7_opened_the_floodgates_to_ the_antisemitism_on_the_left_ once_known_as_the_socialism_ of_fools.html
This is my 45th article in American Thinker. The editors of this magazine do not edit my writing, but they do, unfortunately, edit the titles of my articles. My title for this piece was “Anti-Semitism is the Socialism of Fools,” which I borrowed from two historical figures mentioned in the article.
7. My Father and the Russian-Hungarian Writer Máté Zalka. San Diego Jewish World, October 7, 2024.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/ 2024/10/07/my-father-and-the- russian-hungarian-writer-mate- zalka/
In this essay, I tell how my father suffered because of the hero of my essay #5.
8. REMINISCENCES OF JEWISH HISTORY ON THE EVE OF YOM KIPPUR. San Diego Jewish World, October 11, 2024.
In this article, I remember Jewish history.

9. Jewish Biography: French Novelist and Playwright Jean-Richard Bloch.
San Diego Jewish World, October 14, 2024.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/ 2024/10/14/jewish-biography- french-novelist-and- playwright-jean-richard-bloch/
This French writer of Jewish origin miraculously escaped death in the USSR, but his mother and his daughter were victimized by the Nazis.
10. Semyon Nadson, Philosemitic Russian Poet. San Diego Jewish World, October 21, 2024.
https://www.sdjewishworld.com/ 2024/10/21/semyon-nadson- philosemitic-russian-poet/
This magnificent Russian poet lived only 24 years. His father was a Jew and his mother was a Russian Orthodox Christian. He wrote a stunning poem that influenced the national consciousness of many Soviet Jews. Since he composed this poem in the nineteenth century, I first translated it into Old English. But when I saw that it was not a very clear text, I translated it from Old English into American English. Unfortunately, I am not able to translate poetry in rhyme.
