Hanukkah is a Zionist Celebration!(Compiled and edited by Steven Shamrak)
The name of Jewish holiday, Hanukkah, is derived from a Hebrew word - meaning "to dedicate." It used to be a minor Jewish festival with no Biblical source.
The Chanukah story permeates Israel. It is not just the story of the miracle of the oil, or the reclamation and restoration of theTemple. It is the story of Jewish victory over oppressors, of defending our homeland against those who seek to delegitimize our connection to it and destroy our nation. It is a narrative that all Jews, Israelis and Zionists, can relate to very strongly, as it is a story that has played out many times throughout our history.
Hanukkah is one of the quintessentially Zionist holidays. It is a holiday of freedom, celebrating the victory of the Maccabees over the Syrians. It reaffirms the centrality of Israel and ofJerusalem in Jewish cultural life. Without love of Israel and Jewish national existence, Hanukkah has no real meaning.
Hanukkah is a holiday of Jewish national liberation. Unfortunately, most of our current spiritual leaders are defining Hanukkah mainly as the Feast of Lights! They deliberately do not emphasize that this miracle was the reward for determination and courage exhibited by Jews in the fight for liberation of our land!
From the very beginnings of the Zionist movement, the story of the Maccabees would serve as an inspiration. As Theodore Herzl wrote, "The Maccabees will rise again." Vladimir Jabotinsky similarly declared: "Yes, they have arisen - the children of those whose ancestor was Judah, lion of the Maccabees." It is not surprising that Hanukkah is a major theme in proclamations by Zionist leaders and made its way into Zionist literature, Zionist poetry, and Israeli music.
The modern State of Israel came into being as a modern miracle. With inferior weaponry, little infrastructure, and a much smaller population, the day after declaring independence, the new country was forced to go to war against invading armies from the neighboring Arab states. The miracles that come to mind when one thinks of Israel's history are numerous - the surprising victory of the War of Independence, the stunning victory of the Six Day War, as well as the Yom Kippur war.
The Maccabees faced a powerful enemy - the Syrian Greeks. They protected the traditions of the Jewish people and ensured the continuity of Jewish life in Israel . We must continue to follow this tradition. Israel is also facing powerful enemies, and not just Arab and Muslim countries. The task of liberation of Jewish land from enemy occupation is not completed!
Happy Hanukah!
Hanukah is the only Jewish spiritual and national holiday.
It commemorates the Eretz-Israel, the Land of Israel, and the
Jewish national liberation struggle - Zionism!
At least 28 countries around the world have agreed to take in more than a 100,000 Syrian refugees, the head of the UN refugee agency has said. The pledges come days after rights group Amnesty International said that a number of affluent nations have taken in a "pitiful" number of the millions of Syrian refugees uprooted by the country, placing the burden on Syria's ill-equipped neighbours. (This is good news! The Geneva Convention on population transfer is null and void and Israel can transfer the fake Palestinians from the Jewish land!)
A powerful blast rocked the French Cultural Centre in Gaza City on Friday evening, marking the second time the facility was hit by an explosion in the past two months.
Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak
The European countries and the US love to tell Israel what to do with African infiltrators and have been lying for over 60 years that only by ceding more Jewish land to enemies can Israel have peace. Did Israel tell the US how to resolve the Spanish migrant problem or end racial discrimination of African-Americans? Did Europeans countries listen to the warnings about the danger of Muslim migration? Did the US take Israels advice during the American embassy hostage crisis in Iran? (It was given not long after Israel conducted a successful hostage rescue operation at the Entebbe airport!)
US health officials released a draft of long-awaited federal guidelines on circumcision, saying medical evidence supports the procedure and health insurers should pay for it. The CDC started working on the guidelines about seven years ago, when a cluster of influential studies in Africa indicated circumcision might help stop spread of the AIDS virus. (Why is the report released now? Is it because there are more and more Muslim Americans, to provide them with financial help?)
The Egyptian judge, Mahmoud Kamel al-Rashidi who acquitted Mubarak, began his decision by describing the January 2011 revolution as a Zionist-US-Brotherhood conspiracy hatched to divide the country. The judge added that the Muslim Brotherhood movement was a key conspirator by aiding Hamas and Hezbollah to infiltrate the country in order to carry out a plan to topple Mubarak's regime on January 28, 2011.
While 31 percent of Americans said they are in favor of USsupport for Israel over the Palestinians, only 4% said they wanted the US government to push for the Palestinian cause over Israel's. However, 64% of the poll's participants expressed that they did not want Washington to take a position partial to either side in particular. (It would be nice if the US governments, both Democrats and Republicans, stops interfering into Israelinternal and security matters!)
Hateful Neighbours
An overwhelming majority of Palestinians support a recent spate of attacks on Israelis. The poll also found that more than half of Palestinians support a new uprising against Israel , and that the Hamas militant group would win presidential elections if they were held today. Palestinian pollster Khalil Shikaki said the results reflected Palestinian anger over Israeli statements. (They are angry and will always use any excuse to justify their hate. It is time for Israel to become angry and remove all enemy population from Jewish land!)
Watered-down Laws Do Not Work
Israeli government approved a watered-down version of the so-called Infiltrators' Law, which has been disqualified twice by the High Court in previous versions, as disproportionately tough. The new bill allows authorities to lock up illegal infiltrators for a period of three months in the Saharonim closed facility, and then transfer them to the open Holot facility, where they can be held for up to 20 further months. (There is urgent need to revamp theIsrael anti-Zionist legal system, which is infested by the Leftist cronies!)
Terrorist Prisoners Make More than PA Police. "Being a terrorist actually becomes a profession of choice," stated MK Orit Struk (Jewish Home), during a Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee hearing. "I did the math and saw a significant gap between the average salary of a terrorist sitting in Israeli prison and the average salary for a PA police officer is roughly 800 shekel (per month) - in favor of the terrorist."
Putin: Crimea is Russia's Temple Mount
The Crimean Peninsula "is of huge importance for the Russian nation, just as the Temple Mountain is for people of Jewish faith," Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an attempt to defend Russia' annexation of the formerly Ukrainian region. "We are ready to meet any challenge of the times and win," he declared to applause from an audience of 1,000 dignitaries, almost all of them loyal supporters. (When it suits them, everyone uses 'Jewish' analogies. Will Russia support annexation of the Temple Mountain by Israel and all Jewish land currently occupied by Arabs in the UN Security council? But Israeli politicians need to learn from Putin the determination of doing what is right for the country they represent, regardless of opinion and pressure applied by international 'Jew-lovers'!)
The Jerusalem Teachers' Association, a Palestinian Arab teachers' organization, is actively spreading anti-Israel incitement in Arab schools in Jerusalem . "In our schools, we teach what our religion and conscience dictate: That Jerusalem is Arab and that Palestine - from north to south, from the (Jordan) River to the (Mediterranean) Sea - is Islamic Palestinian Arab, and will remain so in spite of the damned occupier," Issa Salman, head of the Association stated. (Arab-Israelis are not afraid to teach their children lies and enemy propaganda. Why do Israeli government and Jewish schools in Diaspora not teach Jewish kids the truth about Jewish land and make them proud of their Jewish heritage?)
Israeli and international media was in an uproar last month after a mosque in Al-Mughayir near Shiloh in Samaria was allegedly torched in a "price tag" attack by "settlers" - a special investigative team revealed on Thursday that the mosque burned in a fire caused by an electric short, not arson. (Have you heard an apology for the false accusations?)
Flies were sent from Israel to Croatia to help fight fruit fly populations in the Balkan country's citrus orchards. The flies were grown at Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu and then underwent sterilization. The barren flies act to push out the harmful ones from the orchards. (This is an example that Israel and a normal Muslim country can have normal and peaceful relation!)
Abu Ein, 55, a convicted terrorist who previously held the post of PA Deputy Minister of Prisoners' Affairs, died last Wednesday of a heart attack during riots against the IDF. He was handed a life sentence in Israel in 1982 after being extradited from the USin 1981 over the murder of two Israelis in Tiberias in 1979. But he never served his life sentence - he was released in the Ahmed Jibril prisoner swap deal in 1985, just three years later. Arab media claims Abu Ein died after being "beaten" by IDF soldiers, but footage from the event just hours ago proves that he remained untouched during his heart attack - and refused IDF assistance that could have been life-saving.
Quote of the Week:
"When we don't know where we are going or why we are going there, we also do not know how to rule. Thus, the loss of direction affected every aspect of this government; its ability to rule, the economy and all security and social issues." - Moshe Feiglin.

To whom it may concern in Europe and the US :
We are tired of hearing that withdrawal from Judea and Samariawill bring peace. We know and you know that it would bring another Gaza. So stop saying it.
We are tired of hearing that land beyond the Green Line is 'Palestinian land'. The Green Line is simply an armistice line that has no political significance. You know this too.
We are tired of hearing about the 'Palestinian people.' They are no different from the Arabs of Syria or Egypt , from which most of their ancestors migrated in the last 150 years or so. There is no Palestinian language or religion, and until very recently they considered themselves simply 'Arabs'. Their culture is almost entirely defined by their opposition to the Jewish state.
We are tired of hearing that "the Palestinians deserve a state." We are indigenous here, not them, and their behaviour entitles them more to a trial at The Hague than to a state. And they certainly don't deserve our state, which is the only state they want.
We are tired of hearing about 'The Occupation'. As Naftali Bennett said the other day, you can't be an occupier in your own land.
We are tired of hearing anything from anyone associated with the UN. The UN is a parasitic and criminal enterprise dominated by our mortal enemies. You can't recognize a state that has no borders, no single government, and no economy.
We know we can't depend on any kind of security guarantee from anyone except the IDF. So stop being insulted because we don't trust you.
